Your membership
This page explains how memberships work in Agon, how to check your credits and expiry date, and how to purchase or pause a membership.
Types of memberships
Your studio offers memberships in one of two forms:
Recurring subscription You pay on a regular schedule (weekly, monthly, or annually). Each billing cycle, your credits are refreshed. Some subscriptions offer unlimited class access with no credit limit.
Credit pack You pay once and receive a set number of credits that are valid for a fixed period (for example, 10 credits valid for 3 months). Once all credits are used, or the expiry date passes, whichever comes first, the membership is no longer active.
Viewing your membership
- Open the Agon Studio app.
- Tap Membership at the bottom of the screen.
You'll see:
- Your membership type (e.g. "Monthly Unlimited", "10-Class Pack")
- Your status (Active, Paused, Expired)
- Credits remaining (if your membership uses credits)
- Expiry date (for credit packs, or the next renewal date for subscriptions)
How credits work
Each time you book a class, one credit is deducted from your membership.
If you cancel a booking:
- Cancelled early (before the cancellation window): your credit is refunded
- Cancelled late (inside the cancellation window, e.g. within 2 hours of class start): depending on your studio's policy, you may or may not get the credit back. The app always tells you before you confirm a cancellation.
If you have a recurring subscription with credits, your credits reset when your subscription renews. Whether unused credits from the previous period carry over depends on your studio's settings for that membership type:
- If your studio has credit rollover enabled for your membership type, your unused credits carry over into the new period (up to a maximum set by your studio, if any) instead of being lost.
- If rollover is not enabled, unused credits from the previous period do not carry over — this is the default.
Check your membership details on the Membership screen, or ask your studio, to find out whether your plan includes rollover.
Some late cancellations or no-shows may also incur a fee set by your studio — the app always tells you before you confirm a cancellation whether a fee applies, and any fee charged will appear in your payment history.
Purchasing a new membership
If your studio has enabled online purchases, you can buy a membership directly from the app:
- Tap Membership in the app.
- Tap Browse memberships.
- Select the membership type you want.
- Tap Purchase.
- If you have a promo code and/or a gift card, you can enter them at this step — a promo code applies a percentage or fixed discount, and a gift card deducts from its remaining balance. Both can be applied to the same purchase, and the app shows you the final price before you confirm.
- You're taken to a secure Stripe payment screen to enter your card details (unless a gift card already covers the full price, in which case your membership activates immediately with no card needed).
- After payment, your membership is activated immediately.
If this is your first purchase of a membership type that has an intro offer configured, you'll automatically see a reduced intro price instead of the regular price — no code needed. Intro pricing only applies once per client across your studio's intro-offer membership types.
If online purchases are not available, contact your studio directly to purchase a membership.
Pausing a membership
If your membership type allows pauses, and you need to take a break (for example, due to travel or injury):
- Tap Membership in the app.
- Tap Request pause.
- Set the start and end dates for your pause.
- Tap Submit request.
Your studio manager will review and approve or reject the pause. You'll receive a push notification with the result.
While your membership is paused:
- You cannot book classes
- Your expiry date is extended by the pause duration
- Billing is suspended for the pause period (for recurring subscriptions)
What if something goes wrong?
My membership shows as expired but I just paid If you paid via the app with Stripe, your membership should activate within a few seconds of payment. If it's still showing expired after a minute, try closing and reopening the app. If the problem continues, contact your studio — they can manually activate the membership.
I have credits but the app won't let me book Make sure the class type is covered by your membership. Some memberships only apply to specific class types. Check the membership details on the Membership screen or ask your studio.
I want to cancel my membership Contact your studio manager directly — membership cancellations are handled by the studio.
